Customized powder compositions
High entropy alloys (HEAs) based on Group IV b – VI b elements are very recently explored materials and expected to have an enormous potential for future high-temperature applications. Unfortunately, they are difficult to process, especially when a homogeneous distribution of the constituting elements is required. The solution is to produce HEA components by additive manufacturing of specifically designed pre-alloyed powders. The production of such powders has been developed at TANIOBIS in recent years for a wide range of chemical composition, serving all types of AM processes, such as laser beam powder bed fusion (L-PBF), electron beam powder bed fusion (E-PBF), direct energy deposition (DED) or according to customer requests.
