High chemical purity
The high chemical purity of our niobium and tantalum pentoxides contributes to the best performance in all applications. In addition to the common particle morphologies, TANIOBIS also supplies spherical niobium and tantalum oxides. Due to their good flow properties and high density, they can be used in applications such as spray powders.

Tantalum and niobium oxides increase the refractive index of special lenses for high-end cameras or cameras in parking systems. Niobium pentoxide (Nb2O5) in particular is used to increase the refractive index of optical glasses. This allows the production of thinner lenses and can reduce the number of lenses, making the components lighter and smaller.
As a result, niobium pentoxide makes lenses lighter while enabling better performance in mirrorless system cameras (Grades, Nb2PO5 HPO, Ta2O5 HPO).
TANIOBIS supplies high purity oxides for the production of lithium niobate and lithium tantalate for SAW (Surface Acoustic Wave Filter) filters used in mobile devices. These high frequency filters provide precise frequency control, optimized selectivity and reduced distortion in mobile devices such as smartphones, tablet PCs, notebooks or in GPS applications (Grades Ta2O5 LT, Nb2O5 LN).
In cooperation with leading manufacturers, TANIOBIS has developed tantalum and niobium pentoxides with spherical particle morphology, which have particularly good flow properties due to their narrow particle size distribution. In addition to the chemical purity requirements, the physical properties of these oxides ensure optimum density. These spherical pentoxides are used as spray powders for the production of sputtering targets for the coating of displays (Grades Ta2O5 HPO-A, Nb2O5 SPT-A).
When niobium pentoxide is used as a dopant of barium titanate dielectric in the manufacture of multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs), the temperature stability of the capacitance is improved. Nb2O5 doping of PZT (lead zirconium titanate) for piezoceramic applications significantly improves the piezoelectric effect (Grade Nb2O5 ceramic grade).
