We, TANIOBIS GmbH, are international leaders in the development and production of tantalum and niobium metal powders, high-purity oxides and chlorides. These are used in the field of modern electronics, aviation, medical technology as well as the chemical and automotive industries.
With our comprehensive product portfolio, we make a significant contribution to the realization of high-tech trends such as the Internet of Things, 3D printing and miniaturization of electronic devices. We also owe this to our approximately 700 employees, m/f/d, who are facing up to the change of the future at our locations in Japan, Germany, the USA and Thailand and are successfully driving it forward.
Our company is part of the Japanese JX Metals Group, which comprises a worldwide business in the field of extraction, processing and finishing of metals as well as the production of materials for electronic components.
Our subsidiary, TANIOBIS Smelting GmbH & Co. KG, based in Laufenburg (Baden), has its core competencies in the refinement of slags and recycled materials into high-quality feedstocks for the further process chain. Furthermore, the company specializes in the production of high-quality alloy additives for use in high-temperature applications such as gas turbines for the aerospace industry, as well as chlorides for the electrical industry.

What are the steps in the selection process?
As soon as we have received your application, it will be reviewed by our HR department and the respective department. If your profile matches the position, we will get to know each other in an initial interview (by phone or in person). If we find that we would work well together, we will go into more detail in a second interview.
Students
Internship
Would you like to gain your first professional experience? Or apply the theoretical knowledge you have acquired during your studies in practice?
To a certain extent, we offer internships for students. Are you interested? Then just apply. After we have received your application, it will first be reviewed by our HR department, then by the respective department. If your profile fits well, you will be invited to a personal interview.
Apprenticeship
Your school days are coming to an end and you want to learn a profession? Are you interested in science? Or would you like to be directly involved in the manufacture of our products or repair and maintain systems? Then just apply. We train in the following professions:
- Chemical Technician (in Goslar and Laufenburg)
- Chemical Laboratory Assistant (in Goslar)

Our starting date for apprenticeships is the 1st September of a year. We offer qualified training as well as an attractive apprentice allowance with various benefits.
